Weird Pop Up Ar Startup

Hi, I'm using WinXP Pro and when i start it up, Windows
Explorer (WINDOWS Explorer, not Internet Explorer) pops
up to the folder C:\Program Files\Messenger.

I don't like this pop up, and I have no idea how it got
there. I have attepted to install newer versions of
Windows Messenger and MSN Messenger and that doesn't
help. I have also tried the msconfig, but I can't seem to
loacte Windows Explorer in the startup list.
