I am trying to install Palm Software and the Install Wizard software doesnt run. Can I change a setting or is there a way I can do this automatically? Thanks, Jimmy

You may want to tell us more about the problem. Also try the
installation on another computer is possible to make sure that the
data is not corrupt.
Further help with Palm products is available from www.palm.com

I am running XP on a Sony Vaio. I have tried running the Palm software in both the DVD/CD ROM tray and the CDR tray, both unsuccessfully. When I load the software the processor starts up but no wizard or start up menu ever pops up. It's hard to imagine t
he software is corrupt. It would maybe seem more plausible that this is either a windows issue or perhaps there is a setting somewhere that is wrong. I am going to try to uninstall all the files that have been written and start over again. If anyone can
suggest another way I can install this software I'd really appreciate it.

PS: I did go to Palm.Com but it is nearly impossible to find this software. Most of what they post is Third Party Application software for purchase.

Thanks,

Jimmy

Jimmy,
A couple of idea's,

1. Start/Control Panel/Admin. Tools/Services, Check that the Plug & Play;
Universal Plug & Play Devices are enabled.

2. Start/Set Program Access & Defaults/Add New Programs/Add from a Floppy or
CD/, This brings up a Wizard for Programs

3. Start/ Control Panel/System/ Hardware/This brings up a Wizard for Loading
H/ware.

Jimmy,
Might be one for the Learned MVP's when they finish their Boxing Day Lunch
& lie down.
I wonder what happens when you put in CD from another Program .... will it
recognise anything else,
other than the Palm CD. ?
