Any experience with StepUp PC Migration tool here?

To go from W2000 Pro to XP or XP Pro?

Do all apps for W2000 Pro work on XP?

Hi Mike,

Many (actually most) work. Some few may require a patch or upgrade to a =
newer version - check with any program that doesn't pass the =
compatibility test (runs first before the install begins). Check your =
hardware against the hcl here:

ftp://ftp.microsoft.com/services/whql/hcl/winxphclx86.txt

Win2000 will only upgrade to WinXP Pro, and it's a one-way street. Make =
sure you backup any critical data files before you begin, just in case.

Thanks Rick; what I am doing is getting another machine
with XP ; I was gonna use StepUp to migrate/copy all my
apps running on an lder machine with MS2000, to the new
machine/OS.

Sorry, can't answer that question as I haven't used it. Have you checked =
with support for that tool yet?
