Hi, I've used some programs that make the taskbar transparent...
I think one from tweak xp and one called "blinking bar"

....

anyway, the problem is at first the transparent/opaque taskbar was working
fine, even when i click on start and open start menu, but after awhile...for
some reason, when I click on the start button & open the start menu, after i
close the start menu, there is a trace, a ghost image of the start menu
stuck on my transparent/opaque taskbar, i can't get rid of the image unless
i move the taskbar to a different part of the screen.

I have used many different similar programs and they all have the same
bug.... probably a bug in XP

How is it that WindowsFX from stardock works just fine, never had any sticky
stenciled start menu on transparent taskbar with it...
why not just use windowsfx you might ask, well, I have my reasons for not
wanting to use it, one is that it's not free :(

just thought some good programmer might no what's going on as to why
windowsfx works, while other transparency programs get the sticky start menu
image stencilled on the taskbar

Can I ask you a question...Why do most of the transparent taskbar programs
leave a sticky stenciled image of the start menu after you click the "start"
button to open the start menu...I get it with most programs including the
two you've mentioned...glass2k & faderbar...While WindowsFX from stardock
(object desktop) does not leave the risidual trace image on the transparent
taskbar. Thanks for your suggestions for cool programs.
