At the LAN advanced tab, the Internet Connection
Firewall, is "not" checked.......but the problem
continues. What else can be tried?

Greetings Jeff,
Are you going through any type of router? If so, it will need to support Universal Plug and
Play (UPnP) or have some type of built-in Messenger support (which it doesn't if it's not
working). If it does support UPnP, you'll also need to
use MSN Messenger 5:
(http://messenger.msn.com) as it supports UPnP file transfer.

Hi Jeff,
It's possible that your DSL provider/modem is using NAT to supply your connect. You can
check this by looking at your IP address -- click Start, then All Programs, then Accessories,
then Communications, then Network Connections. Double-click your Internet connection, and
choose the Support tab. If your IP address begins with a 192, 172, or 10, you may be on a
NAT'd connection (either from your ISP, or a from the DSL modem) and you won't be able to
send files.
