I checked the monitor wires and all is fine there, also i
think the graphics card is in fine as it doesn,t ocurres
during playing games.
It really feels like it is being triggered by the mouse
moves i make at that moment, could it be that my monitor
can,t keep up with the 60 hz refresh rate (it,s a Novita
plug and play)?

Hi Virginia,
I doubt that a refresh rate of 60 would stress the system much, but I'd =
be curious to know if changing the rate helps.
Does the system show any sort of conflicts in System Information =
(start/run msinfo32, select hardware resources, conflicts/sharing)?

Hi Rick,
I already checked the whole list for any conflicts,it was
the first thing i looked at when the problem started.
On the box of the monitor it says that it has a refresh
rate of 72 hz so i could change it from 60 to 70,but i
am trying so0mething else now,as the mouse movement
triggers the black screen,i am now using a wireless mouse
that came with a drawwingtablet i bought and connects
with Usb,if the problem doesn,t ocurres again i will know
it is my mouse causing the problem.
Could that be possible?

Hi again rick,
Well i used the wireless mouse from my drawing tablet for
the last 2 days and...no problem at all,no more black
screens!
So the problem must be with my normal mouse.
Any idea what caused it?
could it be the mouse itself or the mouse entrance at the
back of my pc having trouble?
i bought the pc a very short while ago and still have
garantee on all hardware so what should i do next?
Go back to the shop and change the mouse or send back the
pc to check the mouse connection at the back?
thanks for your support so far!

Hi there rick,
Sorry but here i am again, last night i also got a black
screen from my other mouse,it happend only once during
the whole evening but it proves that the problem must be
somewhere else.
You where talking about hardware tests, which one should i
try?
I checked the whole device manager
and no conflicts there
hope you can help me.

There is no reason you should have had to mess with a
machine under warranty in the first place. It could be a
bad port, or it could have been a resource conflict, it's
hard to tell without actually running some hardware tests.

Dear Rick,
Here i am again,i went to the shop where i bought my pc
and they said to bring the pc there for check
up,unfortunally i depend a lot on this pc and bringing it
in would be my last solution.
but i have some new info,i runned eventvwr.msc and while
i was looking at it,i got a black screen for a sec,so i
refreshed the program imidiatly to see if it was recorded.
And yes...maybe it will tell you more about the cause of
my black screens?

Dear Rick,
Here i am again,i went to the shop where i bought my pc
and they said to bring the pc there for check

in would be my last solution.
but i have some new info,i runned eventvwr.msc and while
i was looking at it,i got a black screen for a sec,so i
refreshed the program imidiatly to see if it was recorded.
And yes...maybe it will tell you more about the cause of
my black screens?

hi rick,
Yes i tried al drivers,i installed the latest from
nvidia, tried it for a day, then from the grafhicscard site
also tried it for a day and then the one that came with
the cd from card, but no luck so far.
is there also a driver from the motherboard for the slot
where the card slots in,an AGP driver?
I read somewhere that some pcshops forget to updat those
when they buld a pc for a customer.
And does replacing them with a wrong one harm the
motherboard?
btw my mother board is a Asusrock K7S8X and it has AGP X8
for amd athlon and 333Mhz and ddr400.
thanks for your reply
