I have a Dell 8250 with Windows XP pro, 60 G hard drive. I
installed HD from old computer (Win98) to copy files to
new computer. The old drive does not appear in My Computer
or Windows Explorer. It is visable in device manager (it
says the device is working properly). It is also visable
in computer management/disk management but does not have a
drive letter. The only task that is enabled in disk
management is "delete partition". The status shows Healthy
(active). Both drives are "cable select" and jumpers are
properly configured and located on the cable properly. Has
anyone else run into this problem
