Hi there! I recently got a pc camera with a webcam. I
have installed the software drivers and applications.
When I tried to use the video conferencing through msn, I
could only see the other party but they could not see
me. Could you provide some advice as to how to get the
other party to see me?
Thanks!
James

Greetings James,
Firstly, make sure you've gone through the Audio (and Video) Tuning Wizard in Messenger. To
do so, open the main Messenger window, click the Tools menu, then Audio Tuning Wizard, then
go through the wizard to select and test your camera.
If you still have problems after that, the problem most likely is on your contacts' side,
both of you might try turning off the Windows XP Internet Connection Firewall -- click Start,
then click the Control Panel. If you're in category view click Network and Internet
connections then click Network Connections. Right click your network/internet connection,
then click Properties. Click the Advanced Tab, and verify that the Internet Connection
Firewall is unchecked.
