slow desktop load

my computer starts quickly, but it takes 5 minuites to
load my desktop and settings. How do I fix this?

It's likely that you either have a lot of programs starting at boot or that
you have an anti-virus program or utility scanning the system at boot. Look
in the Start/All Programs/Start Up folder. You can also go to Start/Run,
type msconfig and press OK. Click the Start Up tab and see what programs
are set to start at boot.
