msn messenger 5 opens outlook instead of hotmail

There are several net passport accounts on my computer
but one opens microsoft outlook instead of hotmail every
thing else works instant messages etc

Can any one help ?

The e-mail option will only work if you're using an active Hotmail.com/MSN.com passport. If
you are using a Hotmail.com/MSN.com Passport, you can check that it is active by going to
http://www.hotmail.com, logging in and trying to get to the Inbox. If your account isn't
active, you'll be given a chance to reactivate it. If you did need to reactivate it, you'll
need to sign out and back in to Messenger to see the e-mail notifications.
