What is a MPG FILE, and how do i open it?

If you have set your Windows Media Player as the default player for this
type of files, then, Double click on the file and your Windows Media Player
should be able to play the file.

However, if you have set up other players as the default, then that default
player would play the file, it could be Real Player/RealOne player or
Apple's Quick Time player or some other players.

How to select your default player? Right click on the mpeg file, "open
with" and select your favourite player, (check off the "always open with"
box) once this is set up, your mpeg files would be played with your selected
player in the future.
