I.have inadverntantlty removed myself as
administrator,which causes the problem as i am the only
user.
Can anybody advise me on how to reinstate myslf as
administrator.

Boot to Safe Mode (F-8 on restart), and log on a default "Administrator" (Home
Edition does this by default in Safe Mode)
Use the User Accounts applet in control panel to elevate your user privileges.
