I can't get XP Home to autodial when IE is invoked. I've tried changing
the settings in In Control Panel --> Administrative Tools --> Services
* Remote Access Connection Manager
* Remote Access Auto Connection Manager
* Telephony
....and made them "Automatic", but that doesn't seem to work.

Control Panel/Internet Options/connections tab - "dial whenever a =
connection is not present".

Rightclick the 'Start/Connect To/ icon, then Properties

Security Tab, and check the option, or disable secure logon
