Hi,

I have WinXP running on both my desktop and notebook behind a constant on
ADSL connection. Whenever I turn on my notebook, the Windows Messenger on
the notebook will auto connect and the Windows Messenger on my desktop will
disconnect.

I can only solve this by disable "Allow this program to run in the
background" on the notebook's Windows Messenger. But by doing this, the
Messenger will not minimize into system tray anymore.

Is the there a way to disable Windows Messenger from auto connect and still
will minimize into system tray?

Thank you.

Hello,

Just disable it from loading at startup. Open Windows Messenger, click
Tools -> Options, under Preferences, uncheck the box that says "Run Windows
Messenger when Windows starts".

Yape... I already did that! I have disabled both "Run Windows Messenger when
Windows starts" and "Allow this program to run in the background". This will
prevent Windows Messenger from auto logon. But it also prevent Windows
Messenger from minimize into system tray when I run it.

Is there anyway that can disable auto logon and still able to minimize to
system tray?

TQ.
