I have had this prob for ages so would appreciate some
help :-)
If you move your existing network adapter from any pci
slot to another or add a brand new adapter later on, I am
unable to remove the old adapter from device manager.
If I move the exisiting card from one slot to another,
the card comes up in device manager with a #2 or #3 etc
but when i try to uninstall the origional card reference
it allways says
this device may be required to boot the pc, and no matter
what i do i cannot remove it.
This further created the problem that if i use static ip
address on the card when it was in slot 1, and i move it
to slot 2, the card is then known as #2 and it says that
the ip address is in use by the card in slot one that no
longer exists.
I know this is a tricky one - but can anyone help
Please reply as soon as poss :-)
