My computer operates with Windows Xp Pro. Recently, each
time I start-up, it tells me that I have an invalid time
stamp and that I should go to the Date/Time applet in my
control panel and set the correct thing. But each time I
put in the correct settings and apply them, the computer
goes back to telling me invalid time stamp again once I
shut down and start the system back up. This problem also
causes my computer to freeze.
Please offer some assistance someone.

Your battery (on the motherboard) to keep the time and CMOS settings may need
replacement.
