View Full Version : Folder view settings, how to save

Is there a workaround for the folder view saving bug yet? My folder views
are seem to change at random, sometimes they stay the way I want for a few
days, but they always end up changing. And yes, I have went to Tools >
Folder Options > View > check "Remember each folder's view settings" in
windows explorer. This is a known bug that MS had pretty much chosen to
ignore or can't figure out how to fix. I've heard that you can edit the
registry to change the number of folder settings XP can remember, which I
think will help until you once again exceed that limit. If anyone has any
tips to fix this or knows what I need to edit in the registry it would be
appreciated.

It takes a reg hack to extend the setting to more than 400 folders. See:
