Can't open .exe files

Anyone have any idea why Windows won't extract .exe files?
I am not getting any error messages, they just won't open.

Hi,

Um, .exe files don't extract, they execute (or run). Hit =
ctrl+shift+escape, do you see the application's .exe file running on the =
processes tab? Try "end task" on it, then retry running the file.
