Hi,

My 80 gb HD has 4 partitions three are 20.2 gb and the
third is 13.6 gb there needs to be some free space on the
HD. If a little space is not left free, data loss can
result or damage to the drive can occur. Also, there is a
difference in reporting disk space in gigabytes in
windows as compared with the HD OEM. You might check the
original equipment manufacturers web site for their
specks on the 160gb drive. If you used a disk utility to
partition & format the drive before the OS was installed
it may give you a clue if run only to check the drives
partitions integrity. Also, you could try formating the
partition that is showing used data area. If you have an
old 98se boot disk with fdisk.exe and format.exe you can
manually check the partition in question. Partition Magic
8.0 will allow you to resize partitions without data loss
too.
