Hi!
I've got a problem: I want to install my own drivers for
my soundcard (SBLive! 5.1 Player) and not Microsoft ones!
Everytime i uninstall the drivers for Soundcard +
Gameport, after the reboot appears "new hardware
found" "Soundblaster live! (WDM) found!" "Hardware is
ready to work" or something about that....
Does anybody know how to disable this "Feature" ???
Overwriting the old drivers is impossible. In this case,
there isn't any sound!

PS: Sorry for my bad english, but i come from Italy...
I hope you'll understand me anyway..

If you go to device manager and open the sound blaster properties>update
driver you can navigate to the location of the drivers you want to install.
XP will possibly warn of incompatible or unsigned driver but if you want to
install those go ahead.

Check the vendor instructions for sound card installation. It is
possible that you should install the drivers before the card is
installed if you want other than XP drivers, or to install the correct
drivers.

If so, you will have to delete the sound card from device manager, shut
down, remove the card, start up, install the drivers, shut down, install
the card, start up, select the driver you want to install.
