I would like to ask what the file at:

..reg
does to prevent Outlook Express from doing something?

Does Microsoft Outlook count as Outlook Express since they
use the same kernal. They do use the same kernal, don't
they?

Well, I am trying it out.
If it works I will come back and tell you.
If it fails then I will tell you as well as resort to
terminating it in Task Manager.

Greetings Roy,

All this does is add a registry key which stops Windows Messenger from loading with Outlook
Express, and prevents it from integrating into the Outlook Express "contacts" area.

I'm not exactly sure what you mean by "kernel" -- all Windows applications run on the same
kernel, there is only one -- kernel32.dll. However, this registry key will not changed
anything in Microsoft Outlook (2002), in order to disable the built-in Messenger support in
Outlook, you'll need to click the Tools menu, then Options, then the Other tab, and uncheck
'Enable Instant Messaging in Microsoft Outlook'.
