To remove it:
Close any instances of Windows Messenger. Go to Start ->
Run and type
"RunDll32 advpack.dll,LaunchINFSection %windir%
\INF\msmsgs.inf,BLC.Remove"
and click Ok.
Please note it will stop you being able to use some
Windows features reliant on Windows Messenger such as
Remote Assistance... you can of course re-install it if
you ever need these features!
