Search Bar popping up

Every time I open internet explorer now, the search
function pops up and takes up the left side of my
screen. It didn't used to do this,.....how can I stop it
doing this now?

Greetings Nell,

If you open a single Internet Explorer window, close the Search Companion (just click Search
in the toolbar again) and then immediately close Internet Explorer, it should save this
setting for you.
