Computer dials-up om its own!

Can anyone help. When I boot-up my PC it automatically
dials for a connection. When I disconnect it, it just
keep redialling. Does anyone know how to solve this
problem, its driving me mad!

Any suggestions would be gratefully received.

Go to control panel, administrative tools and then services. scroll down and
find remote access auto connection manager. Double click that and change it
to disabled.
