you will have to change your bios settings to boot cd rom
first then load your win xp cd in cd rom restart computer
and
when prompted in yor post screen hit any key to boot from
cd, windows will load default drivers, when you get to a
screen that says would you like to install windows
continue to next screen the xp cd will detect you already
have windows installed and you will see (would you like
to repair this copy of windows) click r annd it will
repair the corrupted files, keep in mind you will have to
call microsoft to activate windows again when it prompts
you
you will be given a choice to activate online or by phone
pic by phone and tell microsoft that you did a repair
