Hey Everyone,

I've just finished a clean install of windows xp pro oem onto my computer,
everything is great except for one thing... there's an annoying
option/question that comes up when the computer starts, this is what appears
with a 30 second countdown:
-----------------------------------------------
Please Select the Operating System to start:

(1) Microsoft Windows XP Professional
(2) Microsoft Windows
------------------------------------------------
It's a bit confusing because there is only 1 partition on my system and when
i select the second option (Microsoft Windows) nothing happens, i get a
flashing cursor and that's it.... does anyone know any way i could remove
the second entry so the system can startup smoothly again?

Thanks,
Chris

Go to Start > Run and type: MSCONFIG , and hit enter.
Click on the BOOT.INI tab and then click on "Check All Boot Paths"
to delete invalid boot paths.
