I was able to send and receive audio/video calls before I
added a Microsoft wireline base station (MN-100). Now, I
only can send out calls but cannot receive calls.

I even opened up port 5060 on the application port
forwarding. Still, I can receive SIP messages but cannot
establish calls.

Please help!

Greetings Kevin,

You shouldn't have to open any ports. Firstly, make sure you're using the latest firmware
release for the MN-100:
http://www.microsoft.com/hardware/broadbandnetworking/download.aspx

If you've already done that (if you've installed the software that came with the MN-100, you
probably already have automatically), make sure that the Internet Connection Firewall is off,
click Start, then click the Control Panel. If you're in category view click Network and
Internet connections then click Network Connections. Right click your network/internet
connection, then click Properties. Click the Advanced Tab, and verify that the Internet
Connection Firewall is unchecked.

Then finally, close down Messenger (right-click its icon in the notification area/system tray
and click Exit), click Start, All Programs, Accessories, Communications, Network Connections.
Right-click the "Broadband Connection Internet Gateway" or similar (should be under the
Internet Gateway heading) and choose Properties. Choose the Settings button, click each
'msmsgs' or 'msnmsgr' entry and then choose 'Delete' to each one. Then restart Messenger
(click Start, then All Programs, then Windows Messenger) and try a voice/video conversation
again.

I do have the latest firmware. I checked all my
configuration and they are operating as you suggested.

I tried a few changes on MN-100. The problems seem to
relate to the NAT (I am sharing the same IP address with 2
PCs).

The reason I said that is I even disable firewall feature
on MN-100 but the same result.

Hi Kevin,

Did you try removing those port forwardings? When you say "can't receive" calls, exactly
what's happening?
