I am having a problem with XP Home. It will not shut
down, restart or log off, it will only go into standby.
The computer does not lock up or have any problems it
just won't shut down. If anyone has any ideas please let
me know.

Thanks

Hi, Chris,

XP doesn't set up power options automatically,
Go to Control Panel and double click the Power Options Icon,
Click the APM tab and click - Enable Advanced Power Management Support,
Click Apply and OK.
Close Control Panel,
Reboot.
