I have multiple systems, with multiple users (wife, kids,
etc). Configurations and setups vary, so I cant find the
method or way that I achieved this, but on two
comoputers, when messenger reports email has arived,
clicking on goto inbox fires up outlook xp (configured
for hotmail http access), on other systems it fires up IE
and goes to the inbox via msn, even though default mail
and this system also utilize outlook xp configured for
http hotmail accounts?

I cant seem to find anywhre where I can tell messenger to
fire up outlook vs ie and msn, web based access is far
less desirable since the family is used to the features
and functions of Outlook. Any help, please....

Greetings John,

There isn't any option for this. If the currently signed in Passport is an active @MSN.com
or @Hotmail.com address, then it will open in Hotmail (IE), otherwise it will open the
default mail handler (Outlook).
