A friend of mine has a Sony Vaio desktop which occasionally has a BSOD with
the following message:

-- Driver IRQL not less or equal"

Technical info message:
Stop: 0x000000D1 (0x00000002, 0x00000002, 0x00000001, 0xF2C80E98)
gaaush.sys - address F2C80E98 base at F2C7D000, Date Stamp 3C9F9a09

I can't find any reference to that sys file on the MS site. Any one know
what it is and why it might be causing a problem?

Thanks

Hi Simon,

Can't find any reference to that file either, both inside Microsoft or =
worldwide. The error message pertains to a driver issue. A 0x000000D1 =
error usually comes from unsigned drivers, or possibly a disk utility. =
Troubleshooting it can be lengthy. Check that the hardware and the =
drivers for it meet the compatibility list:

ftp://ftp.microsoft.com/services/whql/hcl/winxphclx86.txt
