I spent a day Installing and uninstalling some programs I
was testing out. Because I knew I was going to be doing
alot of this I created a SR point incase anything went
wrong.

After I'd finished testing the progs, I went on to use
internet explorer, I found that links that open in new
windows no longer work, The new window opens up but is see-
through and does not attemp to load the page.

I tried to do a sytem resore, but whichever one I pick it
says system resore failed, and gives no explaination as to
why.

I tried re-installing IE6 but the setup file won't work It
says that IE is currently being updated and I need to re-
boot, this changes nothing.

I have done a full sytem scan with Norton 2003 and found
nothing.

Anyone any ideas before I format and re-install my entire
computer?

Turn off system restore (system applet in control panel,) then restart, and turn
it back on.
