View Full Version : Self Extracting Disk Space Problem

I have downloaded Norton Anti Virus program and have tried to install
it, but I get a Self Exrtracting dialog box saying it could not find a
disk with enough space. There is no option to continue. And my
computer has about 42 GB free space.
I tried the same thing using the same downloaded file on another
Windows XP computer and it worked fine. Any help would be
appreciated. Thanks. Harding

Sounds like you already have a virus that is preventing the install
of NAV which is typical of the newer viruses.

I h ave Mcafee installed (the one that came with my new DELL 3 months
ago on a trial basis.) Could this be the reason why Norton won't
install?

Not likely. Sounds more like a virus is already on your machine.

In that case, you could try the free online virus scan at:
http://housecall.trendmicro.com
And pray it gets removed.
