I am having a problem with my girlfreind being able to see
and hear me. I can see and hear the her and I can type
messenges to her. Additionally, I can see myself in
picture-in-picture and she can see herself in the same
way, and the software that came with the camera picks up
video with no problems. We are both running windows xp she
has messenger 4.7, I have msn messenger 5.0. We are both
connected to TimeWarner Roadrunner with no routers or
swithes from cpu to wall. Is there a setting in messenger
that we have to turn on? I have already run audio tuning
wizard, it picks up the camera and audio card. I've
worked on it for days but cant figure it out!! Hopefully
you can.

Greetings Marco,

Have both you and your girlfriend tried turning off the Internet Connection Firewall? To do
so, click Start, then click the
Control Panel. If you're in category view click Network and Internet connections then click
Network Connections. Right click your network/internet connection, then click Properties.
Click the Advanced Tab, and verify that the Internet Connection Firewall is unchecked.

Richard, my card is an onboard intel card.
Jonathan, I havent checked the firewall cause I read in
one of the other posts that the XP firewall allowed video
and audio thru automatically, but i'll go ahead and turn
them both off anyway.
