I recently converted to XP Home Edition From windows
Malfunction Edition (ME). Now my computer acts like it is
running on the old Win95, and gives me the message "IT IS
NOW SAFE TO TURN YOUR COMPUTER OFF." How do I get it to
automatically turn off like it used to?...

Hi,

Control Panel/Power options, you likely need to enable APM, it is not =
turned on by default.
