Monitor type = "Default" and so it gives me no choices of
monitor types under "Properties". My monitor is a
Packard Bell 1402S. It used to work until I re-blasted
the PC with the restore disk. Now it's stuck at
640x480. When I check the video card hardware status, it
says "Null". Does anyone have any suggestions? Thank
you!

Your Video Card (and it's software/drivers) is the problem, not the Monitor.

Try installing the latest drivers for the card.

If that don't work, try removing the card (carefully, as some have a lock latch on the far
end of the AGP slot). Then re-installing or pop in another card from a store/friend/old PC
that U know will work.

Make sure you haven't clicked the :Safe to remove Hardware" icon in the bottom right tray,
that disables some video cards.

Replace "invalid" in address with
co.nz

Thanks for the tips! I was able to re-install the video
driver and it worked. Thank goodness it wasn't the
hardware. I really appreciate your help! I was stuck and
didn't know what to do.

Thanks,
Chris
