I am having similar problems with a webcam,idont think
you can have a video conversation with someone on windows
98 if you are on xp. trying to sort it out if you have
any luck please let me know

Just make sure the built in firewall in XP has been disabled.
If you do not know how, go to www.meetingbywire.com and click on the XP
section and you will find it there.
