Hi, I've been lurking here a while and trying all the suggestions to get
either MSN or Windows messenger to connect on my XP (home version) computer.
Nothing would work. Either program would just say signing on and the
systray icon would flash like it was really trying, but nothing. When I was
reading earlier this afternoon I saw that Johnathon Kay MVP had suggested to
another person to try http://www.trillian.cc to get MSN, Yahoo, ICQ, and
AOL to work in the same chat window. I thought why not give it a try, you
never know. Well it worked! I have no idea why it worked but Trillian can
see my MSN contacts just fine and hooks up in less than a second. So if
you're one of those people ready to pull out your hair from too many
reinstalls you might want to give it a try.
