I would appreciate knowing what causes desktop theme
changes in XP Home not to be held. For example, the user
chooses the Baseball theme. After a short while, the
desktop image is replaced by the standard XP desktop,
although the icons and sounds are still Baseball. I've
thought this might be a registry issue but am uncertain
what changes to make. Thanks for any help!

Hi,

Remember that there is another concept called active
desktop as that in earlier versions of windows. That
active desktop used to be on top of the wall paper of the
theme.

so u will have to disable the background so that the
wallpaper of the desktop theme is visible.

Thanks for the advice. Can you be more specific about
disabling the background? My user says he can't find
evidence of 'active desktop' with his version of XP
Home. Is there some flag that has be set to
enable 'active desktop' and if so, where? I guess I just
need more specifics here. Thanks!
