View Full Version : 2nd non-Hotmail account?

A friend has got Windows Messenger on XP and uses his ISP email address to
sign in. Is it possible for my friend's partner to sign in using her ISP
email address (when my friend is not signed in, obviously), or does she have
to use a Hotmail address? If so, how does she do this?
I have got MSN Messenger here and can not see a way to sign in at all using
any address other than a Hotmail one, but I don't know how Windows Messenger
differs from MSN. Any advice appreciated :-)
Thanks,
Kirsty.

Hi Kirsty,
Your friend has used his/her ISP's email as a "alias". A "Passport", the
sign-in mechanism for MSN/Windows Messenger, is something that can be
associated with any email.
If you want to set a Passport up with another email address, take a look at
http://www.passport.com .
