NetMeeting

THIS IS A CRY FROM THE VAULTS......
I use Netmeeting to contact my friend in Finland 2/3
times weekly. Then after I had a slight problem with
Norton Firewall, I lost his video image. When we now
connect I get the connecting "PING" and then my picture
vanishes and nothing happens. We can chat and the such,
but no sound can be heard from either of us. I have tried
disabling Norton when we connect but it's still the same.
I have even made sure the firewall in XP is uncheched as
well.
I have even downloaded NetMeeting [I use XP, even
though it's on the hard drive] I really am at a loss.
This has been going on for the last 6 weeks, does anybody
have the slightest idea how I can put this right.
I really can't pull any more hair out.

Normally you should not be able to install a downloaded NetMeeeting on XP
unless it was a very old 2.x version -- which would probably not. What
exactly did you do?

I presume you or your friend are not making a "secure" call -- that would be
data only - no audio or video.
