Prior to upgrading to Windows XP Pro, my friend and I
used to be able so send files via the transfer feature in
MSN Messenger. We both had MSN Messenger. He had
Windows ME and I had Windows 2000. We never had a
problem. Then he upgraded to Windows XP Pro, and
everytime we would try to transfer files the file would
look like it was downloading, you would see the status
bar advancing. Then right when the file would be done, I
would get a message stating: "Transfer of file <file
name> was declined by <sender's name>." The thing is, it
was not declined. I was the receiver in this case. He
has Windows XP Pro and I was using Windows 2000. He was
using Windows Messenger, then he downloaded MSN Messenger
5.X and we have same problem with that. Just recently I
upgraded to Windows XP Pro, and we tried this again using
Windows Messenger, and we still get the error message.
Now I do use Zone Alarm Pro, however, I disabled it and
we still had same problem. Any ideas what is happening
here?
