I'have a fight in my PC every time I turn it on.
I've installed Windows Messenger (because Microsoft wants me to) and MSN
Messenger because it is the Messenger I do like to use. It's kind of
annoying every time I turn on my pc because WM seems to log on first, and
then MSNM tries to log on and eventually kick off WM, in this fight I will
have between rounds entertainment (I mean, little windows telling me who is
winning, who kick off who, and so on)
I just "uninstalled" Windows Messenger using Add/Remove Windows Components
from the Add or Remove Programs, but now it seems that Windows Messenger
runs in "hidden from PC Owner" mode.
What can I do to solve this fight, and get those dudes to be friends?
TIA

Go to Tools/ Gneral and there you should be able to set up how you want the
program to open and when, you can do this for each one of the Messengers.

my experience...
create 2 hotmail accounts.
and then log-in with either account on both messengers.
use one account for personal and the other account for fun.
You could even have them typing to each other.

Morning Neil,
We've made improvements for the 'dueling clients' issue you are experiencing
in WM4.7.2009. When MSN Messenger 6 is released (PUblic preview is
available - go to msn.com and find the link), MSN Msgr will launch and WM
will not launch when Windows starts.
If you need Remote Assistance, whiteboard and/or App sharing, you will want
to keep Windows Messenger installed. Installing the latest MSN Messenger
6build will provide much needed relief of the 2 messenger clients dueling
for your approval. :-)
