The minimize,maximize and close icons on the right size
went to a smaller size. How do is get them back to their
normal size?

Right click the desktop select properties then the appearance tab then the
advanced button click on the X or which ever button you need to resize.

Follow BB's advice first. If for some reason that doesn't do the trick, try
this: Right click on a blank spot on the desktop and select Properties. Open
the Theme drop-down list and select Windows XP. Click the OK button and you
should be back the way you were.
