I reported here yesterday that I had had an unwanted dialler installed on my
machine. Sine then I have realised that I have been hacked. He logged on
remotely and installed Remote Assistance, created a user called owner and
made various changes. I have removed all of these and run adaware. Is there
any thing else I should do. Also I have used this PC to buy legitimate items
over the internet. Could they have gotten my credit card details in any way.
Thank You

The first thing you can do is activate the XP firewall.
Other things to do:
Install a decent firewall which you can configure properly and tell you what
is going on with your internet connection. Zone Alarm have a free one which
is quite good, www.zonelabs.com.
Get a virus checker if you haven't already.
Change your password for your ISP.
As a rule, credit card details are not kept on your machine in the way of
cookies, you should be OK, but keep a close eye on them. You never know.
It might be a good idea to change any other passwords you have for various
things.

Re-format, re-install, apply *all* critical updates and security updates
and make sure you run a good antivirus program continuously and keep the
signature file up to date. Also install a router/firewall and only allow
connections through that are neccessary for your system to function.
If someone has been in your system with administrator rights, you have no
way of knowing *what* has been installed. The only way to be sure your
system is clean is to follow the foregoing advice.

Very probably, with a keystroke logger or possibly even from a cookie if
you bought from a stupid/badly written site.
