How many hours do you spend answering questions Jonathan?
Also how many years did you do that for before you got MVP?

And is it really worth it? I mean, you only get one Life! (Unless you
believe you are a reincarnation of Cleopatra?).

Life, what... what's that? =)
Seriously however, it depends what your goal is, if you were in it for the "stuff", then it
isn't.

Jonathan Kay [MVP]

Hi Edward,
I honestly haven't calculated it, but I'm sure its a lot.
I actually had MVP status from 1998 to the near end of 1999 (which was my senior year of high
school) in Internet Explorer, then got back into things around the time Windows XP came out
(Oct '01), and I had MVP status again, this time for Messenger at the beginning of 2002 which
brings us up till now.
There's no set timelimit or quota or anything like that, getting the "award" is primarily
based upon what other MVPs see and what the MVP Leads at Microsoft see happening. This being
said, someone can post 2000 times a month in a group, but not give out accurate or
constructive information, and they won't get the award.
