Recovering old messages in Outlook Exp. after upgrade

I just did a 'new install' of XP (by mistake) rather than
an upgrade of my previous Windows 98. As you know - it
fried all my links and settings - including my then-
existing e-mail messages (I used Outlook).

I'm trying to re-setup my e-mail with Outlook Express.
Is there some way to find and import the old Outlook
messages and address book into the new Outlook Express?
Where did the old Outlook store these things?
