I tried using Remote Assistance feature of Windows XP for
the first time. My wife will Ask for Remote Assistance
while we are both on MS Messenger. I get the message
that my wife is inviting me to start using Remote
Assistance and I ACCEPT. And then --- nothing. Huh? I
go to the Remote Assistance page and it shows zero
invitations. How do I start?

I have configured my wife's computer to accept Remote
Assistance. I use a firewall (small office LAN with a
single router) but my IP address is visable as I am
successful at using Remote Desktop from my wife's
computer to my office computer. My wife's computer is
directly connect to the ISP thru a DSL modem. Both are
XP Professional.

Thanks in advance.
Harry.

The office router needs to forward port 3389 to your internal office IP.

Thanks Mark but it must be something else. I already had
the router configured to forward port 3389.
