View Full Version : One NIC card combo and 2 cables? Possible?

I have some nic cards that are COMBO, having both a BNC connection and a UDP
connection. If I plug in both cables at the same time will it work? Or will
I have to add another card?
Why am I asking this.... because I want to know if there can be a network
with a combination of many computers with BNC cables and 2 of them connected
with one cross UDP. One of those 2 computers must be connected to the rest
of the BNC network so all of them are connected.

Can this be done?

For the ones reading technical replies, I would kindly request them to give
me their feedback with another post (in the same thread of course), so I
will know if my advice helped them or not.

I've seen cards that can do it; but they are rare to find
If it's impossible to transfer the entire network over to
a newer network standard; then you cah use 2 cards
in one machine - but remember; whatever machine
you use MUST remain on for the two sides to see
each other.
