I seem to have a problem whereby whenever MSN messenger 6 for windows
xp is started on a machine I have that is connected via the wireless
lan, invariably within 1 minute to a few hours, the router crashes.

I am using the latest 604+ firmware (v18), which is upnp compatible.

I have had one instance of it crashing when connected via a network
cable to another PC, when I was trying to initiate webcam sessions.

The problem with the wireless lan is consistent - every time I start
messenger.

The router just locks up and needs power-cycling.

Any ideas?

The dlink 604+ is an adsl router with 22mbps wlan built in. This is a
UK model.

Thanks

Anthony

I'd suggest asking Dlink about it. It's most likely a bug in the ALG in
their firmware.
