is it normal for msn messenger 6 to always open port 9
for listenning?!
& I got 11 ports listenning is that normal?
aren't they supposed to be just 4?!

Yes. Port 9 is the discard port. We open that port so we can discard packets
that arrive at that port without generating an ICMP port unreachable
response. This is to help the traversal of home routers (NATs).

Are you saying that one can make a connection with MSN Messenger 6.0 through
a NAT modem? If so, then that is a MAJOR breakthrough. The DSL people are
"telephone" people and do not have much sense about computers.
